Blue Box Sensors Limited is a privately held company registered in Ireland at the address below, company registration number 472420. The directors are Rory Geoghegan, John Scanlan and Michiel Helmes.
The company resulted from over a decade of research by Professor John Lowry and his colleagues at the National University of Ireland in Maynooth (NUIM) which has lead to the development of a range of very small implantable sensors and biosensors. The devices can be used to record various neurotransmitters and other chemicals with very high selectivity and sensitivity.
In 2009 Red Box Direct joined forces with Professor Lowry and NUIM to form Blue Box Sensors Limited. This new company is now responsible for manufacturing and supplying this sensor range as well as associated hardware and software.
