Glucose Sensor Starter Bundle
The Glucose Biosensor Starter Bundle is designed to offer you a complete system with all the necessary components to start monitoring glucose in vivo.
The Glucose biosensor was designed for implantation in the rodent brain, and is based on the immobilisation of glucose oxidase embedded within a polymer on the surface of Platinum/Iridium wire (175µm diameter). This works on the principle of a three electrode system. Thus, the starter bundle contains 5 Glucose biosensors, 5 auxiliary and 5 reference electrode.
Our sensors are based on the principles of constant potential amperometry, therefore a potentiostat is required to deliver the specific constant potential to the sensor (+700mV for Glucose). Blue Box Sensors have partnered with eDAQ to provide complete solutions for your sensor recording needs. This starter bundle includes a single channel potentiostat. The potentiostat connects to the data acquisition system which connects to a computer by USB. We supply eDAQ’s popular e-corder range for this purpose. This bundle includes the e-corder-210 two channel data recording systems and comes complete with Chart and Scope software.
