Oxygen Sensor (Polymer) Starter Bundle
The Oxygen Sensor (Polymer) Starter Bundle is designed to offer you a complete system with all the necessary components to start monitoring oxygen in vivo.
The polymer oxygen sensor was designed for implantation in the rodent brain, and is based on the electrochemical reduction of oxygen at the carbon paste tip. This gives reliable readouts for up to 6 weeks after implantation. This works on the principle of a three electrode system. Thus, the starter bundle contains 5 Polymer Oxygen sensors, 5 auxiliary and 5 reference electrode.
Our sensors work by constant potential amperometry, therefore a potentiostat is required to deliver the specific constant potential to the sensor (-650mV for Oxygen). The potentiostat connects to the data acquisition system which connects to a computer by USB. We supply eDAQ’s popular e-corder range for this purpose.
